Tyler Duvall - Outside Reading #4 - Book of Genesis - Revelation; Sand

Biblically, sand is a symbol for many things. Sand was used as a journey symbol for the Israelites but is also a symbol for dry land. Biblically sand can also provide insight by looking at the scriptures.

Sand:

Measures greatness (Genesis 22:17)

Used to hide or bury things of significance (Exodus 2:12 Deuteronomy 33:19)

It carries weight (Job 6:3, Proverbs 27:3)

Isaiah 35:7, 34:15, Job 39:14…warming abandoned eggs

Acts as a boundary (Jeremiah 15:8)

Compared to a poor foundation (Matthew 7:26)…sand turns into glass when hit by lighting or burned by fire

Platform for the enemy (Revelation 12:17)
