Luke Jeffery: Outside Reading #1

Reflections on The Life of Arthur Tappen:

His secret was honesty and integrity. There is no substitute for business done in that manner. He gave himself both in time and giving to the furthering of the Gospel to the nations. He faced major challenges, yet overcame them with courage and ingenuity. He borrowed money from family to get his business started. He originally did not like the credit system. He never compromised his principles to make a greater sum of money or a more lucrative business practice.  These value systems are what brought him through so much change in the economy and God blessed him because of his commitment to these biblical values.
