John Tyler: Reading Colossians 3:12

One of my favorite Bible verses is Colossians 3:12 which says, “Therefore as God’s chosen people holy and dearly loved clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, gentleness, and self-control.”

Although I have read this verse many times it seems that each time I soak in its truth, I receive more revelation.  One of the reoccurring themes is my new identity in Christ.  I love the first part especially which states what God’s children are holy and dearly loved.  This verse actually inspired a design of a cross that has the two words intersecting each other.  This year I have learned and relearned the significance of hiding your identity in Christ.  It is amazing how a verse that I have read numerous times can still have such meaningful implications.
