Northfork was a very interesting movie. So many characters that all desired the same thing but just expressed it differently. Honestly, the movie was strange. One thing that I did find interesting was the scene with the church. The church that the small population of Northfork met in was placed on cinder blocks. The preacher faced six small pews, three on each side of the building, and the people faced the preacher and the great outdoors. The back wall of the church was never nonexistent.
I think this can often relate to the body of Christ. We can be fickle, unstable, not grounded in anything. Apathetic, disinterested, lacking passion. Like the people of Northfork the body of Christ is called for bigger and greater things. We are not called to stay stagnate but to go out into the unknown. Not to be good, but to simply live for him!
