Luke Jeffery: Personal Reflection #1

This life is so interesting. It seems that one day I can be thinking all about how much I need to make more money and do well in school and the next day I can be completely caught up in a whirlwind of adventure, where none of that matters and all I care about is savoring the adventure that is right at my fingertips.  I think sometimes I lose touch with life, I think it some weird time slot that I am given to complete all my little tasks. And other times, I'm in a world that doesn't seem to even have time and all I can see is the moment just in front of me. I think I like living in the second one more, but I wish the two would coincide more because they seem to be always conflicting. I can't quite put my finger on the happy medium.

But if I could have both, I would. Why? Because I think both are important and I wonder if God doesn't think the same way? Why else would He create such captivating beauty yet call us to live such a radical lifestyle of obedience and discipline. They must work together, I know they must. It is only through experience and practice that we'll be able to find the happy balance of the two in our lives and I just hope I can stay in that place forever.
