Luke Taylor Free Write #4: Tebow’s Never-ending Faith

Someone I really look up to is Tim Tebow. In college he was one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game and in the National Football League (NFL) he did not have as much luck. However, despite the fact that he was not successful in the NFL, one thing that always remained was his love for Jesus Christ.
Tim Tebow has always been known as a Christian who wears his faith on his sleeve and that is something I have really appreciated about him. While many critique him and often frown upon him for it, I think it is great and very encouraging for me as a man of God. Tim Tebow has said it a thousand times and I will say it again for him, playing football is not something that he bases his life off of but getting to spread the word of Christ is. In fact, he would often tell the media that he only loves to play Football primarily because it is an incredible platform where he has the opportunity to use it as a platform for God. When I look at Tim Tebow I can see that he gets it; that he lives life in the sacred because he is able to love life knowing that he is saved in eternity with God and it is very obvious by the way he lives his life.

Another thing I have really appreciated about Tim Tebow is his ability to stay so optimistic in some of the hardest parts of his life. The media certainly took things far too out of hand with his faith but he never showed the expression of anger or annoyance; rather he only responded with love. It was in those responses where I saw a hidden Jesus within Tim Tebow. A man that is no doubt playing the sport he loved but for intentions that are unlike any other player. A man that was bashed and slandered for doing nothing wrong but even then still showed love to those who hated him. His character and love for God truly is something I look up to so much.
