Christ is risen, He is risen indeed!
Yesterday, 2014 April 20th, my
family and I celebrated the life of Christ. Below I have shared a link to a
video called “Because of Him” which shows death is not the end and we can live
again with God. This is one of the meanings of Easter Sunday. We have come to
celebrate His life and discover all things possible "Because of Him:
“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly,
and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground” (Luke 22:44)
Jesus
willingly took upon himself our sins and our sorrows. He was willing to pay for
all mistakes, all pains, and all imperfections of us on Earth. Jesus took all
of our burdens and all of our sins with him on the Cross-when he died for us.
“And they clothed Him with
purple, and plaited a crown of thorns, and put it about His head, and began to
salute him, hail, king of the Jews!”
(Mark 15:7)
Through
the pain and anguish he felt from punishments and beatings, Jesus remained faithful to His
Father. His death marked the beginning for all of us on Earth, to show that we have a second chance in eternal life.
“He is not here, for He is
risen, as He said” (Matthew 28:6)
The
empty tomb in the garden of Jerusalem reminds us that Christ is King. Our
savior lived and died for us and lived again when He rose from the dead. Easter
Sunday reminds us of the debt that Jesus paid for our sins.
In conclusion, every Easter, we
celebrate all that Christ has done for us. We celebrate his life and the life
that we will have in eternity. Easter is a day to celebrate Jesus and the day
we will live again with God.
